The service

An eye exam checks much more than whether you need glasses.

A comprehensive eye exam looks at how well you see, how your eyes work together and the health of your eyes. It's the starting point for accurate glasses, comfortable contact lenses and peace of mind.

Your results are explained in plain language, and we'll recommend eyewear and lens options that suit your prescription and your day. There's never any pressure to buy.

What to expect

Five steps,one clear picture.

Every exam follows the same careful process, tailored to your age, history and needs.

Why it matters

Why regular eyeexams matter.

Vision often changes slowly, so it's easy to adapt without noticing. An out-of-date prescription can mean more squinting, tired eyes or headaches at the end of the day.

Some eye conditions, glaucoma for example, can develop without noticeable symptoms early on. An eye exam is one of the ways they can be picked up and, where needed, referred on.

Eye exams also matter for children, whose vision affects learning and who may not realise they can't see clearly.

Consider booking if you notice:

  • —Blurry vision at distance or up close
  • —Headaches or eye strain after reading or screen time
  • —Difficulty seeing when driving at night
  • —Holding your phone or books further away
  • —It's been a while since your last exam

Sudden vision loss, flashes of light, a shower of new floaters, or eye pain need urgent attention. Call us right away, or go to an emergency department if we're closed.
